2019 Legislative Session Closes...

As the 2019 Legislative Session draws to a close, I want to thank all of the wonderful citizens of Bedford who have given me the opportunity and honor of representing you in Concord. Much of my work has been focused on increasing educational opportunities, expanding mental health services, and protecting our most vulnerable populations, and I so appreciate the input and encouragement from the many, many people who took the time to reach out. The House considered over 1000 bills in countless hours of hearings, committee meetings and on the floor. I have a new found respect for every single legislator who signs on for this enormous responsibility! Now, it will be up to the Governor and Finance leadership to find the compromise that will move the budget forward and assure that all of NH benefits from our efforts.

While the House will not be in session again until January, work will continue via study committees and commissions. I hope to see many of you at local events and welcome any thoughts or concerns you may want to share at sue.mullen@leg.state.nh.us.

Look for me in unexpected places and have a wonderful summer, Bedford! sm
