Eliminate Single Use Plastic Bags?

Updated: Mar 4, 2019

Good Morning, Bedford!

On Wednesday, March 6, The Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee will be holding a public hearing on HB 560, a bill that proposes eliminating single use plastic bags. Stores would be allowed to use up their current inventory, but after that, only recyclable bags would be available at $.10 apiece. Of course, people could use their own shopping bags, as well. The hearing will be held in room 302 of the Legislative Office Building at 11:30 for anyone who wants to testify. Written statements may be sent vis email to:

HouseCommerceCommittee@leg.state.nh.us.

Thanks for reading this, and bundle up this week. It's going to get COLD out there! sm
